Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Advisory

Report improper driving by any CDL holder through the Department of Transportation website's Report an Operator tab, even when they weren't driving a commercial vehicle, and include the link to the related record as evidence. If a holder goes over 10 points within the two-month #government-database cycle, file a report so the DOT knows.

Specialized commercial enforcement units can suspend or revoke a licence on scene without DOT review, so call one when enforcing a commercial vehicle. Check licences on the ORCR website's Registry tab, which is more accurate than #government-database. Anyone driving while unlicensed, suspended or revoked is charged under ORCR consolidated law § 201.

      Who we are and what we do.

      Meet the officers

      The East Greenbush Police Department (EGPD) is a New York State accredited law enforcement agency tasked with providing 24/7 emergency response and public safety services to the Town of East Greenbush in Rensselaer County.

      On 13 August 2022, the East Greenbush Police Department was founded by Chief of Police Ryan Davidson to give the township of East Greenbush its own local police department, with the mission “to protect and to serve” in and around the East Greenbush area.

      Beyond standard patrol functions, the agency fields several specialized units designed to handle complex tactical and investigative tasks.

      Specialized units

      Motor Division

      Our leading specialized unit, formed in partnership with the New York State Police.

      Community Relations Division

      Handles public outreach, public safety notices, advertising and more for the department.

      K9 In progress

      The department is working on a K9 certification, allowing advanced searches and checks of persons and vehicles where reasonable suspicion exists.

      How to join

      Why become a cop in Official Rensselaer County Roleplay? Support from game development, access to ORCR-only special police vehicles and tools, and the most prestigious law enforcement on Roblox. A state trooper and a police officer stand beside a police pickup truck.
      1. Check that applications are openLook in #applications for the checkmark showing the New York P.O.S.T. Law Enforcement Application is open. If it is, fill it out; if not, you'll have to wait. It typically opens every 3 months.
      2. Wait for your application to be readApplications are read at the end of every week. If you fail, you'll be told whether you can try again. If you pass, you begin the process.
      3. Take the Written Knowledge testYou'll be invited to the P.O.S.T. server to complete the Written Knowledge test before the start of the next month. It has English and Math questions to test basic knowledge.
      4. Join the P.O.S.T. classIf you fail the Written Knowledge test, you'll be removed and have to wait for the next class. If you pass, you join the official class at the start of the next month and complete 4 phases of training and exams.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 2 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 2 hires one officer into the department, the first to join through the P.O.S.T. system.

      • Clyde Martin joins as Assistant Chief

        Clyde Martin is hired as Assistant Chief of Police, helping run the department and assisting heavily during this period.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 5 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 5 hires twelve officers into the department, the biggest class at the time.

      • Motor Division formed

        The Motor Division is created and released for the department.

      • Community Relations Division formed

        The Community Relations Division is created and released for the department.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 6 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 6 hires nine officers into the department.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 7 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 7 hires five officers into the department.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 8 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 8 hires three officers into the department.

      • P.O.S.T. Class 9 graduates

        P.O.S.T. Class 9 hires five officers into the department.
